Current Need
The Coding Supervisor will assist the Coding Manager in daily operations of a rapidly growing Coding Department.
The following are the qualifications:
1. Thorough working knowledge of ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding nomenclatures as well as medical record science, medical terminology, anatomy/physiology.
2.Must have the ability to code all patient types accurately and in accordance to all ICD-9/CPT-4 rules and CMS regulations.
3. Must be able to code client work as needed.
4. Must have the skills to assist in coder quarterly audits.
5. Must have the ability to design and analyze technical reports. The reports consist of statistical reporting of client work and coder's production and quality reporting.
6. Must be able to direct all workflow and will monitor work schedules of the coding staff.
7. Must be able to monitor productivity, perform data quality reviews and coordinate technical processing is required.
8. Must be able to act as a backup in all duties of the department.
9. Must have experience in staff coaching and training.
10. Must have excellent interacting skills with clients and customers that we serve each day.
11. Must work with the Coding Manager in developing work flows for future growth both in coding education and client growth to achieve the department and organizational quality and financial goals.
12. Must act as a back up for the Coding Manager.
13. Must have a positive "can do " attitude and willingness to do what it takes to achieve positive outcomes on all projects.
14. Must embrace the "Life Long Learning" practice.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Required credentials, CPC, CCS-P with college degree preferred. Must have five years of coding experience and four years of team leadership experience. Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Certifications/Licensure
Must have either CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA
