RQT SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER
Long Description:
This role is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of occupational safety and environmental programs, providing technical support, clear guidance, and direction in all safety programs and employee training for the RQT organization. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and make decisions under pressure.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Safety and Health Management System.
- Evaluate & communicate regulatory compliance requirements as well as develop and implement written safety programs that are based on industry best practices as well as governmental regulations.
- Actively lead the Central Safety Committee, supporting all RQT sub-committees.
- Create and coordinate all safety training programs and activities for the RQT organization.
- Ensures leadership incorporates essential elements of safety in business planning processes and accountabilities, and ensures compliance with Kellogg Company safety policies, drug testing policies, and governmental regulations.
- Ensure that all WKKI employees are properly trained prior to working in or entering into the Pilot Facility or other Kellogg Manufacturing Facilities.- Additional responsibilities for coordination of RQT environmental programs- Actively participate in the development phase of new products and processes, including all capital, and WKKI construction.
- Reduce cost of workers compensation and meet all RQT safety metrics.
- Ensure the safety of all employees while at work.
- Responsible for RQT liaison with Corporate Safety organization.

Position Requirements Required Education and Experience:
- Requires either a Bachelors degree in safety related field plus a minimum of 5 years of occupational safety management experience in a CPG manufacturing environment or High School Diploma 10 years of occupational safety management experience in a CPG manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations and proficiency with handling OSHA related data is required.
Preferred Education and Experience
-Prefer a Bachelors degree in safety related field, minimum of 8 years of occupational safety management experience in a CPG manufacturing environment, and Safety certification.
- Intermediate MS Office Skills preferred-Excel, Power Point, Word.

- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to handle crisis management professionally, unusual time constraints, and multiple and changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills required
- Verbal, written, presentation skills.
