Kellogg Company has an exciting opportunity for a Merchandising Manager in Hartford, CT. This is a GR-R-REAT opportunity to use your experience, skills, and leadership abilities, in a world-class organization.
The Merchandising Manager plays a key role in managing, developing and scheduling the non-exempt merchandising population within this sales zone. This will include all Full Time Territory Service Representatives, Vacation Relief and Part Time Merchandiser positions. Additional responsibilities include:-Work with Productivity Manager to determine merchandising needs by Territory through analysis of sales, geography and other manload factors.
-Develops and meets headcount and hours budget for non-exempt merchandising workforce.
-Effectively utilize all merchandising hours within the zone through appropriate scheduling of the merchandising employee group while maintaining merchandising productivity at optimal levels.
-Recruit and hire all merchandising employees for the zone, utilizing diverse recruitment sources and through the maintenance of an applicant pool.
-Maintain all recruitment and hiring paperwork and files as well as employee files, according to applicable state and federal laws.
-Provide initial and ongoing training to the merchandising workforce through planned and unplanned work with sessions, training modules and periodic formal performance evaluations.
-Manage travel and other expenses related to merchandising and personal usage.

Position Requirements Requirements:
- GED or HS Diploma required
- 2 years of sales and/or merchandising experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, train and direct entry level employees required.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to quantify, problem solve and analyze information and data.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office with extensive knowledge of building and using Excel spreadsheets.
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Direct and/or indirect management experience
- Experience working effectively and collaboratively with a team and managing effectively up & down the organization.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Direct or indirect responsibility for expense control and/or budgeting
