EHS Sr. Specialist
Long Description:
Support the Natural Gas Business Unit in complying with state and federal environmental and safety regulations. The emphasis of this position is providing safety training, OSHA regulatory interpretation, incident investigations, OSHA recordability determinations, PSM support, and facility inspections. The primary geographical area will include, but not limited to, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa.

Responsibilities:
* A thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and the ability to communicate regulatory citations and Letters of Interpretation to address issues brought forward by facility personnel.
* Plan, devise, and deliver effective safety training to facility personnel.
* * Inspect facilities to identify best practices and potential EHS deficiencies. In addition, must be able to provide regulatory citation for deficiencies identified and be able to assist in developing and implimenting solutions.
* Facilitate teams to conduct Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) which will include identifying and tracking completion of Action Items
* Facilitate teams to conduct structured Incident Investigations which will include Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions
* Develop Safety Flash memos to communicate EHS issues for the company in order to create awareness and to prevent a reoccurrence of a similar event.
* Effective, tactful, and positive communication with all levels of field and management personnel.

Position Requirements

* College degree
* 5 Years safety experience
* OSHA Certifications
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel 60% of the time
* Participate in random DOT Drug and alcohol testing program
* Ability to be On-Call during nights and weekends in order to participate in emergency response situations
* Effective speaker/trainer/communicator
* Strong writing skills
* Ability to develop PowerPoint training presentations, efficient with Excel, Word, and be able to access and navigate a computer incident management system.
* Be able to climb stairs, ladders, walk over difficult terrain and stand for long periods of time.
* Be able to work outside in extreme temperatures
