Description
Mercer Outsourcing currently has an opening for a Team Leader within Shared Services. Responsibilities include leading a team that programs for and supports our clients within our Health & Benefits line of business. Areas of focus are: Supporting new and existing Clients during implementation, Ongoing processing, Upgrades, Annual Enrollment, Valuation and Quarter End/Year End Processes on our recordkeeping systems and surrounding applications. This includes project management, problem resolution, testing, documentation and communication of issues. This individual will also be responsible for providing timely and appropriate feedback and guidance as needed to team members.
This position can be located in Norwood, Dallas, Deefield or Houston.
To fulfill this role, the Team leader will:
* Ensure team members are regularly and clearly communicating with each other so that everyone is kept up to date using staff meetings, and 1:1 meetings
* Mentor and coach team members as needed via and PFS and regular 1:1 meetings
* Monitor teams assigned tasks or project s to ensure established SLA's are being met
* Develop and maintain project plans based on client/business requests
* Develop an in depth and instinctive understanding of the clients needs. Anticipating and managing client expectations and communicating these with team members.
* Ensure readiness for new technology and enforce best practice
* Approve change order and manage resources for Out of Scope work
* Validate reasonability of all client requests
* Apply technical expertise in a specialty area to formulate an approach to a problem.
* Provide guidance or training to other team members as needed in order for them to fulfill the Service Requests.
* Uses experience, and well-developed analytical skills as a sound basis for decision making and/or programming solutions.
* Translate the Operations Scorecard into a clear set of objectives and goals for the team
* Anticipate changing business requirements which could affect priorities and plans
* Integrate Quality Assurance processes into all projects
* Integrate project planning activities across different support areas
* Perform additional duties and projects assigned by Management.
* Interact with both internal and external clients
* Provide expertise to other team members or different departments within the organization
Qualifications
* Five to ten years system support and/or development
* Five to ten years experience in the Health & Benefits industry
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
* Excellent organization, communication and problem solving skills
* Experience with SQL, Benefits Workstation, OmniPlus, Omniscript and Data Junction
* Prior Management experience preferred
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows applications
