JOB SUMMARY:
The Verifications Specialist Level I is responsible for verifying application information, such as history of employment, education, professional credentials/licensure, and references using a variety of methods to complete background investigation requests. This position requires the employee have proficient oral and written skills, thus assuring accurate communication between employee and multiple sources. This position will be located in Nashville, TN.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Verify applicant information, such as history of employment, education, professional credentials/licensure, and references using a variety of methods to complete background investigation requests for Kroll clients.
* Maintain confidentiality of clients, searches and results
* Obtain information for services through proficient use of the Internet, email, fax, and phone
* Acquire and maintain understanding of Verifications policies and procedures
* Interact daily with peers to ensure workload is completed in a timely fashion
* Maintain a personal production level that meets or exceeds the established minimums in accordance with current directives
* Participate in special projects as required
* Other duties may be assigned
* Must demonstrate the core values of the organization

Qualifications
CANDIDATE EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

* Associate's degree or higher is preferred, although equivalent industry or call center experience will be considered; one to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Working knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word and Excel) and familiarity with Windows-based operating system(s)
* Must demonstrate good organizational, time-management skills
* Ability to efficiently multi-task to handle a fast-paced, high stress environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (listening, verbal, written and presentation)
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings.
* Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information
* Typing skills of 30 WPM or better preferred.
* Ability to work well with a wide variety of people at local and remote locations
* Ability to gather data and accurately record information
* Ability to remained focused and detail-oriented
* Working knowledge of Kroll Verifications processes is helpful but not required
