Long Description:
The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing the business needs of the Background Screening product line to support product improvements and innovations, including software development efforts. The position works primarily with internal customers (but may also work with external customers) to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate business requirements. The Business Analyst also may support the requirements management process and the Quality Assurance processes by designing, reviewing and executing test cases for software development efforts. The successful candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision. This individual will need to establish excellent working relationships with Kroll colleagues and be able to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the business requirements are identified and documented. This position will be located in Nashville, TN and will report to the Senior Project Manager, Background Screening.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Apply business analysis expertise for projects of all sizes.
* Understand quickly the business issues and data challenges of our organization and industry.
* Gather, analyze and evaluate information to understand business needs.
* Interview, facilitate, and work with customers to develop business process maps, specifications, business process improvements, and document requirements.
* Responsible for requirements gathering and management process.
* Communicate business requirements to the Engineering team.
* Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
* Understand the necessity of project standards and apply them consistently.
* Develop meeting objectives and agendas and facilitate meetings.
* Define test conditions and develop accurate and complete test plans. Conduct testing according to plan, involving business Subject Matter Experts. Identify and document system deficiencies and recommend solutions.
* Prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
* Manage multiple projects and priorities at one time.
* Promote teamwork and collaborative interactions.
* Support and provide guidance to other Business Analysts and Project Managers.
* Perform other duties as assigned or required.



Qualifications
CANDIDATE EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree is preferred, although equivalent industry experience will be considered.
* Minimum three years experience in business analysis or analytical business role/subject matter expert.
* Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position will be considered.
* Be detail and process oriented and proficient in utilizing computer systems, with significant experience in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Access, Project PowerPoint, and Visio as well as Internet technologies.
* Excellent verbal/interpersonal communication skills are essential.
* Excellent written communications skills (the ability to prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging) are essential.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
