Description
In this position, you will be testing and debugging L3, L4 and application layer software of Intel's WiMAX integrated modem software stack.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Working closely with the carrier development team to debug and root cause issues with embedded WIMAX devices.
- Work with external WiMAX carriers, TEMs and internal groups to resolve issues across the end to end WiMAX network with particular focus on Activation, Provisioning, Device Management and OTA .
Qualifications
- You should possess an MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or BS in CE, CS or EE with 5+ years of experience in networking and/or wireless communications engineering. Additional qualifications include:
- Strong network/wireless communications background with practical experience in testing/validation of wireless systems and a good knowledge of state-of-the-art wireless technologies and standards.
- Experience in software testing and test methodology including white box and black box testing
- Understanding of key radio access technologies such as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) and key Medium Access Control (MAC) methods applicable to the design of mobile broadband networks
- Deep understanding of Device Management systems, OMA-DM, Activation, Provisioning and OTA.
- Demonstrated skills in network and wireless communications tools and experienced debug and analysis
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in cross-geo and cross-functional groups
- Understanding of and experience with software engineering practices
- Working knowledge of 802.16 (WiMAX) standards
