Description
In this position, you will be working on Soft Error Rate (SER) simulation methodologies and analyze SER data collected at accelerated testing trips.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this internship. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through past education course work and current PhD level projects, graduate level courses, and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experience. Timeframe for this 3 month internship can begin either spring or summer 2010:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled full-time in a PhD program with a graduation date no earlier than Dec 2010.
- Must be in the following program of study: Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2yrs experience in integrated circuit design.
- Minimum 1yr experience in semiconductor devices, VLSI systems and device physics.
- Minimum 1yr experience in programming (C or C++ and perl or Tcl) and statistics
- Minimum 1yr experince in SER and circuit simulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Intel internship or an Intel scholarship recipient.
- Have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
- 2+yrs experience in SER simulations (in particular for combinational logic and/or hardened devices) and circuit simulations.
- 2+yrs experience in programming (C or C++ and perl or Tcl) and 1+ years in statistics.
- 1+yrs experience in TCAD simulations of single-event upsets or transients.
