Description
Job Description: Analog, Mixed-Signal, and RF Development Engineers with Skills and Expertise in Developing Monolithic Integrated Circuits for Wireless and Wireline Communications Systems and product using CMOS, BiCMOS, SiGe, GaAs Process technologies .
Responsibilities: In this position, you will be a member of the Electrical Validation (EV) team focusing on EV methodology development and Design for Validation (DFV) implementation. You will be working as part of a cross divisional team to define I/O buffers, packaging, and interconnect requirements and design/ensure the implementation of feature sets supporting comprehensive electrical product validation and margining. These includes any of the following: Analog DFV design, analog/mixed signal simulations, lab measurements, authoring user documentation and design specifications, data analysis, limited software development, training and support.
Qualifications
Masters or PhD required
Strong understanding of circuit design and simulation techniques.
Demonstrated experience in high-speed custom CMOS circuit and physical layout design.
Academic lab, project experience and/or coursework in the following areas:
- Transmission-line effects, crosstalk, ground-bounce, frequency domain analysis, power delivery and signal return paths
- Electrical analysis and design of high-speed busses as well as familiarity with simulation tools (HSPICE*, ADS*, ANSOFT*, HFSS*, Verilog-AMS*)
- Circuit design of high-speed analog and digital I/O, PLL, DLL and clocks
- Analog and/or mixed circuit simulation and debug
- Mathematical and statistical skills (Monte Carlo*, Design of Experiments, Jitter Analysis)
Knowledgeable in the following would be an added advantage:
- IA-32
- CMOS device and/or process
- Programming in C, Perl, or MATLAB*
- Experience with oscilloscopes, Bit-Error-Rate testers and logic analyzers
