Primary Function:

Provide Environmental regulatory and Corporate Standards coordination and oversight to the Chambers Works Plant. The Environmental Consultant will also implement Environmental Management Systems to improve the performance of the Chambers Works Plant.

Brief Job Description:

This position reports functionally and administratively to the Chambers Works site Environmental Manager. This position is part of the Chambers Works plant environmental team responsible for providing environmental expertise, compliance guidance, permitting and reporting.

Position Description:

This position provides environmental coordination and oversight of environmental programs for the Chambers Works plant. The primary responsibility of this role will focus on environmental regulatory and corporate standards compliance. Specific duties include:

Provide direct leadership for Environmental programs including:

* Toxic Catastrophe Prevention Act (TCPA) / Risk Management Plan (RMP)
* Toxic Release Inventory (TRI)/NJ Release & Pollution Prevention Report (RPPR) programs,
* SARA 311 and SARA 312 Notification and Inventory reporting,
* RCRA
* NPDES/NJDPES
* Chemical Weapons Convention Act
* SPCC/DPCC
* Act as Enviance Super-User. Enviance is an environmental management system used by the site to manage compliance with Title V Air permit requirements. Site Super-User will maintain system configuration, implement changes to system, develop reports for manufacturing areas, and assist with data verification and analysis.
* Serve as environmental coordinator for site operating area(s). As area coordinator, you will represent site operating areas at site environmental network meetings, ensure area compliance with all state and federal regulations, prepare and evaluate information for regulatory reports, lead first party environmental audits, and assist with waste characterization/waste management.
* Experience with industrial waste water treatment plants and RCRA-permitted landfills/facilities is a plus.

Qualifications

* BS or higher degree in environmental science, engineering or related discipline. Masters degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license (especially in New Jersey) a plus.
* At least 4+ years of Environmental coordinator experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in New Jersey and with NJDEP regulatory programs a plus.
* Experience with TRI, RMP and NJDEP reporting softwares. Enviance experience a plus.
* The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision. Additionally, the successful candidate will be one who can multi-task, deal with fast changing and sometimes conflicting priorities and who possesses strong organizational and communication skills.
* The ability to collaborate, networking skills and interpersonal relations are all important to the job.
