Description
DuPont is currently recruiting for a Research Investigator within the Titanium Technologies group located at the New Johnsonville, TN site.


Primary Responsibilities include:

* Develop new products and technology in support of Titanium Technologies growth initiatives in a number of market spaces;
* Provide technical support to production;
* Provide technology improvements associated with the pigment finishing operations of our largest titanium dioxide pigment plant;
* Work with site personnel and our global technical service and R&D organization to develop new offerings and to support existing offerings;
* Provide support for process improvements and provision of process and quality troubleshooting;
* May also have team leader responsibilities.

Qualifications

* PhD degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with focus on Organic, Polymer, Inorganic, Analytical or Physical Chemistry;
* Some knowledge of the chemistry of metal oxides is required;
* Knowledge of colloid, particle, and/or surface chemistry is also very desirable;
* Strong experimental skills required
* Excellent problem-solving and oral and written communication skills are required;
* The ability to work in a cross-functional team environment is also required;
* The candidate must be strongly motivated, with the ability to self-develop his/her skills in new areas of research.
