Repairs and maintains electrical and instrument equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments. Engages in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machines, equipment, and instruments.
Qualifications

* 5 Years experience in maintenance an repair of pneumatic and electronic instrument controls as an Electrical/Instrument Technician in an industrial/manufacturing plant environment.
* Program and troubleshoot PLC, DCS and other microprocessor based control systems.
* Experienced in finding and correcting problems with electronic equipment such as D.C. drives, inverters, programmable controllers, etc., using manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams, hand tools, and test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ammeters, etc., in order to return equipment to designed operating condition.
* Install and function check instruments, electronic control devices, process interlocks and relief devices
* Install and repair electrically and pneumatically operated automatic control valves, transmitters, transducers, and analyzers.
* Read and understand P&I drawings, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.

Formal Education:
o Required Minimum High School Degree/GED - Associate or Undergraduate Formal Degree in a related field preferred.
o Additional ISA Level 1 certification and/or a valid electrician's license is preferred.

Additional Requirements:
o Must have working familiarity with Basic computer tools (MS Office, E-mail, etc.)
o Must have the knowledge and ability to repair various types of electrical/instrument equipment safely and properly.
o Must possess effective communication skills, both oral and written. .
o Must have a valid Driver's License
o Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
o Must be capable of performing all other essential functions of the Electrical/Instrument Technician role.
