Job Title:
Area Cleaner - Housekeeper

I. Position Summary:
Performs cleaning functions in various areas of the hospital. Maintains these areas in a clean and orderly fashion in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and foremost to provide an environment conducive to patient recovery. Performs general, routine maintenance and servicing hospital equipment. Responsible for the collection of all trash and linen though out the facility and the Nutfield building. Assists in other areas as needed (Patient discharging, snow removal etc.

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None:



B. Education: High School or GED preferred.



C. Experience: Not required.



D. Special qualifications: Abilities and necessary physical / requirement with or without the aid of mechanical devices, to safely perform the essential functions of the job. Requires operation of mechanical equipment such as buffers, auto scrubber and vacuums. Visual acuity to detail cleanliness. Reasoning ability, as employees must use self-judgment in changing sequence of areas cleaned to meet needs of unit or area.
