Job Description

The programmer analyst develops, analyzes, tests and maintains business communication (print/image/mail) applications of moderate complexity to ensure flawless quality and on time statement delivery for customers.
Required Skills

1. Maintains, codes, documents, and tests programs in compliance with company standards for development to ensure client requirements are being met.

2. Provides day to day technical support by communicating with internal and external clients to meet statement of work terms.

3. Gathers project information, if incomplete, from clients, Project Management, and Manufacturing to help prepare for the analysis and design of application needs. Follows test plan methodology, as well as post-implementation reviews to ensure the application is working well and that it meets client requirements.

4. Trouble shoots quality deficiencies to ensure compliance with original specifications and subsequent change requests. Analyzes project specifications for improvements to existing projects.

5. Provides project status reports presentations to ensure clients and/or RRD BCS personnel are kept well informed.
Required Experience

1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent technical work experience.

2. Two-three years experience in programming: COBOL, JCL, VSAM and version control experience

3. Creativity in determining the best solution for the problem at hand.

4. Good technical skills.

5. Good communication skills both oral and written. Technical documentation skills.

6. Ability to investigate new technology and products.

7. The ability to handle projects in a multiple priority environment.
