Job Description

Bindery Quality Inspector inspects office copies, advance books, and/or books running through production operations for specific print and bind quality defects. The inspector may have the responsibility to select, properly package and label samples for outside delivery.

Responsibilities :
# Performs bound Book Inspection to assure quality standards are met.
# Checks job instructions for counts of advance books and office copies.
# Ensures office copies and advance book counts are made.
# Physically inspects each book against quality standards for advance and office copies.
# Performs various clerical duties as required including count recording, record keeping, filing, defect experience, etc.
# Communicates quality issues to appropriate personnel for resolution.
# Conducts defect Reporting.
# Maintains area housekeeping standards.
# Successfully completes required training programs.
# Reads, understands and issues, in written form, all job information from job tickets and other job related documents (AITs, etc).
# Ensures job is produced by the job instructions issued.
# Performs minor repairs to books.
# Monitors schedule requirements for samples.
# Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
# Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
# It is the responsibility of all Solution Delivery employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.
Required Skills

* The ability to work in a team environment is required.
* Ability to stand on feet for a minimum of 8 hours.
* Ability to lift 20 lbs regularly.
* Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
