Job Description
Position Summary
Imaging Operator 1 will possess and demonstrate the skills and abilities to effectively operate and maintain digital print equipment (Océ and/or HP Indigo) with limited assistance. Performs standardized duties and tasks, resolves routine questions and refers more complex issues to higher levels. The Imaging Operator1 will understand and follow the company quality business plan. The position is 3rd shift hours (11pm - 7am) and the starting pay is $14.00 per hour plus $0.75 shift differential.
Responsibilities
* Will possess and demonstrate the skills and abilities to operate and maintain digital print equipment with limited assistance. Will troubleshoot equipment issues and perform customer authorized maintenance. Maintain machine and maintenance logs, accurately record service calls.
* (HP Indigo) Performs directed press color calibration, maintenance to insure accuracy and consistency of color output. Works with available resources to insure printed product maintains color accuracy and consistency.
* Perform and document quality checks per quality procedure. Continually inspect jobs coming off equipment for completeness, accuracy and defects.
* Has basic understanding and is able to complete expected tasks with all work systems.(BOM, WBS, Custom Route,DocXpress, Lotus Notes, machine specific operating systems).
* Can perform basic functions in Word and Excel as needed.
* Completes all paperwork required for the position and maintains it according to procedures.
* Will notify when machine specific forms and paperwork are needed.
* Keep accurate record of machine timecards, count logs, paper usage & spoilage. Completes all paperwork required for the position and maintains it according to procedures.
* Communicates effectively, efficiently and appropriately with all employees. Maintains necessary level of communications between shifts.
* Responsible for checking and maintaining all needed supplies for operation of equipment. Keeps all product organized and in the proper location and insures all product is correctly identified.
* Dumps trash into the trash carts. Move recycled paper bins to staging area and replace them with empty bins.
* Moves empty and broken pallets to proper areas.
* Returns leftover materials that need to be saved after a job to the proper location. At supervisor’s request, recycles left over material.
* Follows all safety guidelines.
* Insures shop is clean and organized and informs supervisor of employees not following cleaning policies.
* May provide employee training as needed.
* Participates in periodic staff meetings and other meetings as necessary.
* Participates in training and development programs as required of the position.
* Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks as may be required from time-to-time by management representatives.
