This position is a full-time exempt position supporting the world class Cottage Grove Lumber Sawmill facility within the ilevel Softwood Lumber Business. This is a leadership position with accountability for the sawmill and planer team.

Key Functions:
The position is responsible for lumber manufacturing processes in the sawmill and planer on the weekend shift. This position is accountable for team safety, production, value delivery, cost, environmental compliance, training and development, employee relations, and planning focused on world class performance. The position will partner with maintenance, technical, and other areas of the mill to accomplish these objectives.

Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:

o Demonstrated safety and people leadership within a manufacturing facility. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with this in a sawmill and planer.
o Must be able work weekends, rotating schedules, and overtime to meet goals
o Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory or key leadership role
* Work related experience in leading and ensuring compliance with safety initiatives
* Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching, development and instilling a continuous improvement mind-set
* Strong planning and organizational skills
* Demonstrated basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and other windows based programs
* Willing and able to work all shifts, including weekends
* Strong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making skills


The following qualifications are preferred:

* Bachelor's degree
* Work-related experience in production environment
* Hands-on experience working with optimizing systems
* Knowledge of Maintenance Planning Software, such as Maximo or SAP
* Working knowledge of business and financial concepts
* Demonstrated results in achieving and sustaining business goals
