Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Successful candidate will extract, process, analyze, evaluate, and administer the entry of mapping data into an enterprise-level intelligence management system in support of geospatial intelligence operations. The GIS Data Loader/Analyst will be responsible for loading the data correctly, identifying and resolving discrepancies in data and metadata, and ensuring the metadata and naming conventions are applied during the load process. Responsible for ensuring that records / info management objectives are met. Develops and interprets policy, procedures and guidelines for implementing system wide data management across the enterprise. Ensures economy and efficiency in creation, use, maintenance and disposition of data. Develops and provides training and guidance for analysts. Travel requirements are minimal. Required Candidate must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a BS in Geography/GIS, Engineering, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience, plus 5-7 years of overall experience. 3 years of experience working with geodatabases, large flat file vector data, and raster (images, grids, matrix) data in an enterprise/personal geospatial database structure. Hands on experience managing of geospatial databases and datasets. Experience working with metadata and creating metadata templates. General technical understanding of principles as applied to computerized data warehousing and feature data.
