We are seeking a highly motivated Research Station Manager with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary Research Team. The Station Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all operations of the Research Station in accordance with the Research policies to ensure the goals of the company. The Station Manager supports the R&D Functions and any necessary crossfunctional activities and is responsible for providing critical information to all involved Monsanto Departments to achieve Company goals.

Responsibilities:

* General supervision of all farming activities, including greenhouses, to ensure the correct development of the crops.
* Manages maintenance of facility including grounds, buildings, equipment, safety and security.
* Responsible for the Station budget to ensure global financial level of the company (make budget, allocate costs, control, etc).
* Plan new activities/facilities to ensure coverage of future needs (CAPEX etc).
* Responsible for hourly employees and contract labor and for ensuring good working environment (motivation, salary increases, promotions, etc.).
* Program and improve operations (research projects) to ensure correct development and future programs.
* Represent the research station re the rest of the company (internally).

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

• BS in a biological science or an agricultural related field of study
• 2 years agriculture experience
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Desire to learn Spanish
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects through completion



Effective computer skills, specifically using MS Office programs

Desired Skills/Experience:
• Previous experience managing/supervising a team of people
• Ability to speak Spanish
• Previous experience growing crops, either commercially or for research
