We currently have an opportunity for an Operations Maintenance Associate. Maintenance Associates are involved in all facets of routine and preventive maintenance at our sites. This role will pay particular attention to facilities maintenance. Monsanto has office, shop and warehouse facilities on a 2300 acre farm in Kunia that the Maintenance Associate would be responsible for maintaining and supervising technicians in the maintenance of these facilities. This work may include repairs of the facility (electrical, plumbing and structural repair), supervision of landscape maintenance and supervision of janitorial staff. The Maintenance Associates are key members of our team enhancing the value and usefulness of our facilities and equipment. In this role the Maintenance Associate may also be called upon to supervise shop personnel in the repair of farm equipment and farm facilities.
In this position you will work closely with and support other on-site personnel in an effort to consistently establish the highest standards in the industry for safety, quality, cost, and facilities reliability.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise maintenance technicians and participate in repair and maintenance of equipment, machinery and facilities
* Maintain records of repair and maintenance of equipment, machinery, facilities and to meet OSHA and Monsanto standards and guidelines.
* Lead in the identification of safety issues relating to facilities, shop, equipment, tools and work area.
* Lead in the care and maintenance of facilities, shop, equipment, and shop tools required to carry out work duties.
* Provide support for the Monsanto Station safety program by adhering to all safety policies and procedures and attending regular scheduled company safety meetings.
* Supervise and assist in carrying out other duties as assigned.
* Actively participates in Monsanto ESH Safety Program.
* Work with other groups within Monsanto to develop consistency and cost savings.
* Calibrate equipment to meet ISO 9002 requirements.
* Perform any other tasks as assigned by Operations Management.
* Maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed to maintain and repair equipment and facilities at the station.
Qualifications
Required Responsibilities/Experience:
* Associates Degree related field of study and/or 5+ years mechanical experience
* High school diploma/GED.
* 3+ years experience supervising employees in the maintenance and repair of equipment
* Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, structural repair and equipment repair.
* Knowledge of safe tool use.
* Knowledge of maintenance for shop tools, facilities and equipment
* Knowledge of record keeping for equipment maintenance and repair required by OSHA.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to lift up to 40LBS.
* Ability to function as a team member.
