Description
The Technology, Talent Acquisition Lead will lead the talent acquisition planning strategy for the total Technology business area (Biotechnology, Breeding/Breeding Technology, Regulatory and Chemistry).
Responsibilities:
* Partner with human resources leads and business partners to plan out monthly hiring targets and 2-3 year projections
* Establish and maintain a strong partnership with hiring managers in designated business units
* Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract, screen, recruit, and select high quality candidates
* Act as a strategic liaison to the Technology HR Leads, advise them on Recruiting needs, and provide leadership updates quarterly
* Mentor and coach recruiters on recruiting strategies and best practices
* Work with University Relations to promote and staff internships/co-ops and entry-level opportunities
There is a strong focus on diversity outreach and candidate sourcing nationwide. The Talent Acquisition Lead will directly manage a team of direct hire and contract recruiters.
Qualifications
This individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, organized, proactive, and understand the urgency and confidentiality of the human resources function.
The Talent Acquisition Lead must:
* Have passion for the recruiting and sourcing functions with strong experience in candidate development and a focus on candidate exceptional experience
* Possess excellent communication and client management skills while displaying the highest degree of integrity in implementing the industry's best practices (sourcing, recruiting, candidate assessment)
* Effectively support hiring managers at remote sites
Additional requirements include:
* 8+ years of experience in full-lifecycle recruiting
* 4+ years of proven people management experience or related HR experience advising people leaders
* Bachelors degree required
* Must have passion for the talent acquisition function with a focus on diversity
* Excellent understanding of the Internet as a sourcing tool
* Experience with college recruiting and university relations is a plus
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Taleo is a plus
* Understanding of Employment Law is a must. Understanding of Visa Immigration Law requirements preferred
* Must be willing and able to travel domestically
* Results oriented; operationally excellent
* Strong influence skills
* Able to relate to and advise strong, independent thinkers
* Exceptional flexibility relative to the scope described above
