Description


Monsanto Company, a global leader in agricultural biotechnology and crop protection chemicals, is seeking a PhD toxicologist to join the Toxicology Team in its Regulatory Product Safety Center. This team is responsible for providing global toxicology and risk assessment support for crop protection chemicals and new food crops developed through biotechnology or conventional breeding. The responsibilities for the successful candidate will include initiating and monitoring mammalian toxicology studies with chemical and biotechnology-derived products at outside contract laboratories, conducting human health risk assessments, and providing toxicology support for regulatory submissions around the world. This individual would be collaborating with a diverse group of toxicologists, ecotoxicologists, human and animal nutritionists, biochemists, molecular biologists, and residue and metabolism chemists in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.





Qualifications

Requirements:

* PhD in Toxicology or a closely related field
* Experience in the safety evaluation of proteins, foods, food ingredients or crop protection chemicals is highly desirable
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good project management and problem-solving skills
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize
* Ability to work in a highly matrixed, team-oriented environment
