TCR Analyst-000SY

Description


The Monsanto TCR team is searching for an energetic, motivated individual with a B.S. or M.S., in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Plant Sciences, or Biology with at least 2-5 years of laboratory experience. Individual will be asked to perform molecular techniques for the assessment of adventitious presence in materials being used in regulatory studies. Individual must have strong demonstrated molecular biology skills and technical knowledge and experience in DNA extraction, and PCR (preferably TAQMAN) procedures and methodologies. Individual must have good written and oral communication skills and excellence in high quality, detailed processing, and quality control. Experience working in a GLP environment and or high throughput environment, with robotics, is preferred. Individual would be expected to contribute individually, as well as in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities include:
• DNA Extraction
• Molecular Biology techniques such as TaqMan based PCR (both endpoint and Real time)
• Operate and maintain lab equipment
• Data Analysis

Qualifications


* Required Skills/Experience:
• Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated experience of Molecular Biology techniques such as TaqMan PCR (Real time and End Point), traditional PCR, DNA & RNA extraction
* Srong time management/multitasking and organizational abilities
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Demonstrated Independent thinking and problem solving
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Effective computer skills

• Desired Skills/Experience:
• Previous experience in a high throughput molecular biology lab
• Previous experience working in a GLP environment
