Description


The successful candidate will provide audit program and quality systems design and execution to support critical Stewardship initiatives. Audit program activities will focus on quality management systems related to Monsanto Stewardship policies, field trial compliance, seed quality policies, and Excellence Through Stewardship® program preparation and compliance. The individual will be responsible for audit design, execution, documentation and the analysis of findings. The individual will be responsible for reporting and summarizing audit findings and providing recommendations to senior management. In addition, the individual will work with the Functions and Crop Team specific Compliance and Quality personnel to improve processes and implementation to enhance performance and practices across Monsanto.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

* Design and execution of quality management and audit program design and process development supporting critical stewardship initiatives across Monsanto functions, regions and products
* Coordinate and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, federal and state regulations and Monsanto policies and procedures
* Develop and implement procedures, audit plans, audit checklists, audit training , trend analysis, reporting and other processes to make continuous improvements to the audit program
* Support Monsanto teams integrating and enhancing quality management and compliance programs
* Support the development and implementation of corrective action and continuous improvement plans with functional teams
* Manage follow-up with functions and organizations on audit findings, responses to the findings and corrective action plans
* Develop and maintain tracking systems and create reports to manage and communicate program and compliance status
* Manage and support quality systems and audit projects to support development and implementation of company standards and policies




Qualifications

Required Skills:

* Minimum B.S. or B.A. in a scientific or technical discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, etc.) with 2+ years auditing experience working within a regulatory or quality assurance environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style and content to facilitate interaction with a diverse audience.
* Must be able to gather and interpret relevant technical information in order to present conclusions in a clear and concise manner.
* Must be highly motivated, flexible, and able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
* Excellent organizational skills and must be proficient in preparing word processing and spreadsheet documents.
* Domestic and International travel is required

Preferred Skills:

* Auditor certification in ISO, GLP, ASQ or other recognized quality standard.
* Strong technical background and experience with biotechnology and agricultural products through various stages of the product life cycle.
* Experience with the oversight or conduct of biotech field trials
* Experience working or managing seed quality testing or standards
