Description
Monsanto, a leader in the Agriculture Industry, has an opening for an outstanding Immunoassay Analyst for protein expression characterization of transgenic crops in the Regulatory Sciences organization. The role includes the execution of protein expression studies using ELISA and western blot analysis techniques in a GLP environment, as well as interacting with project managers and customers to assure the on time delivery of all projects. The Product Characterization Center is a fast paced, time-line driven, team based environment that requires researchers to contribute at the individual level on group-based projects.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Biological Science such as: Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Plant Biology or Immunology. Three years work experience with a BS, or 1 year experience with an MS. Extensive experience is required in areas such as antibody screening, western blotting, and ELISA development, validation and execution. Attention to detail and meticulous data documentation is essential to this role.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external contacts, and possess excellent written communication, data documentation, and oral presentation skills.
Desired Experience/Education/Attributes:
Experience working in a GLP environment and with automated liquid handling systems such as the TECAN Genesis work station is desirable but not required. Other desired skills include familiarity with software packages such as Word, Excel and SoftMax Pro
