Job Responsibilities:
Position responsible for the following -Expansion of Chemical Management Services initiative including Avchem for larger sites and Small site model for lower chemical use sites -Enhancement of CMS tools to support site, business and corporate regulatory compliance, reporting and data analysis requirements. -Support of existing Avchem sites to address issues and ensure success -Continued consolidation of chemical management data into common and tools and process -Utilization of common CMS tools to perform analysis of chemical management performance and to drive risk reduction (including chemical of concern elimination), enhance regulatory compliance and reduce costs associated with chemical management -Utilization and development of common tools to address new challenges such as Green Chemistry, anticipated revisions, etc. -Leadership role in coordinating chemical related corporate activity related to safety, environmental, sustainability, IH, transportation, etc. within and to optimize effectiveness and minimize adverse impact on business areas. -Additional responsibilities dependent on organization needs. -Position anticipated to require 25-50% travel (1-2 weeks per month)Standard DescriptionInterprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies. Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements. Finds, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors waste handling. Organizes and equips spill-control teams. Writes and updates environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures. Prepares environmental impact statements and applies for all new permits and renewals. Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations.

Security ClearanceNoneTypical MinimumsBachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
