PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Under limited supervision, performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Interfaces with user community to understand their security needs and implements procedures (automated or manual) to accommodate them. Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Serves as Project Leader on medium to large-scale projects.
2. Has overall responsibility of – Tivoli and Active Directory security systems; as well as; the underlying applications and oriented security systems.
3. Assists in the management and control of networks, UNIX, Intranet/Extranet and other midrange operating systems/environments via the provided security packages.
4. Develops and implements security controls and processes and evaluates security levels.
5. Assists with Disaster Recovery strategies and contingency planning.
6. Responsible for the vision, principles and standards that govern the acquisition and deployment of Identity and Access Management technology across the globe. Integrates the Tivoli and Active Directory architecture with key processes, such as project initiation and applications development, as well as consults on projects when key technology and design decisions are made. May be called upon to lead critical infrastructure design and coordinate systems troubleshooting efforts
7. Heavy emphasis on coordination between RIS groups and client groups.
8. Plans and designs the automation of administrative processes for new and changing systems. I.e.(GPO requirements, user group permissions, application and role permissions, application synchronization in AD
9. Identifies and evaluates new products and technologies and interface with vendors to identify products and services.
10. Acts as 3rd/4th level support in specific technology area.
11. Provides technical leadership to junior staff members
12. Communicate / teach new security developments and technology to the organization & senior mgmt (i.e. lunch and learns, management meetings, etc).
13. Researches technology advancements and makes recommendations as necessary
NOTE: This person could reside in Dallas, TX or Irvine, CA. Otherwise no relocation.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
· BS/BA degree or comparable experience required. Minimum 5+ years experience with data processing and security environment.
· Certifications: IBM Tivoli and/or MSCE in Active Directory a plus
EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications):
· Effective communications skills and proficient writing skills
· Strong analytical skills and full technical knowledge of all components of ITIM, ITAM, IDI, LDAP, JAVA/JAVAScript, UNIX
· Knowledge of Web services a plus.
· Project management skills – the ability to operate under deadlines and manage team workloads.
· Strong research and analytical skills and full technical knowledge of all phases of systems analysis.
· Strong development skills required.
