Description

This position works with KFC specifications, Quality Assurance Programs and suppliers to ensure the quality and safety of products delivered to KFC restaurants.



Ø Manages quality and food safety programs to ensure that suppliers meet all quality and food safety requirements.

Ø Monitors and drives improved performance for suppliers by conducting QPSA’s, FSA and QSA follow-ups and product evaluations. Drives follow up and corrective action plans on all critical issues.

Ø Utilizes root cause analysis to drive immediate resolution on issues identified through Hotline reports and KPI reports,

Ø Ensures specifications comply with all USDA/FDA guidelines. Manages specification updates ensuring all are complete, accurate and meet product design requirements.

Ø Drives supplier led process/product improvement projects to deliver improved quality ingredients.

Ø Provides technical and product knowledge support to Product Development.

Ø Monitors raw material supply and demand trends to determine changes in availability and/or quality that can negatively impact the business; assists development of contingency plans for such occurrences.

Minimum Requirements

Ø Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ)

Ø Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Meat Science or related scientific field. M.S./PhD. Preferred.

Ø 8 years food industry experience, poultry industry experience preferred

Ø Strong product management experience.

Ø Willing to travel up to 50%.

Ø Strong interpersonal skills and strong personal initiative. Must be able to build alliances and be a team player. Must be able to present material in composed and confident manner. Strong application of principle, practices and procedures within area of specialization. Ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects. Must be able to execute projects within timelines and budgets. Must be able to anticipate and identify potential challenges and recommend course of action to resolve.
