Description

Support the KFC-Product Support Center (PSC) Technology and Product Development teams by enabling rapid adoption and roll out of strategic initiatives: analytical and sensory testing during set point and hold time development. Focus should be placed on entire Back of the House (BOH) process and tool development to enable consistent execution by international markets.



Organizations Supported: International KFC Markets



Sales: 100 countries with over $4B in sales (70% of YRI profits)



Restaurants: 8,000+ in both franchise and equity



Product Technology (70%)



* ·Supports technical and new Product Development team members on key projects including cooking set point development, hold time establishment and formal validation of these items through sensory and analytical analysis, incorporating BOH flow and equipment to develop a complete answer for products.
* Develop materials for new core items (Quality Guides, Procedures, etc)
* Assist with global strategic layer commercialization by developing cooking and holding validation procedures for markets to execute
* Develop Concept booklets with photos to jump-start rapid adoption of new products within strategic layers.
* Contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives through accurate data collection and execution of Global Cuttings
* Product demonstration organization, supporting and leading product demos– minimum of 2 per year.
* Sensory testing of ingredients and products, validation studies, data collection , organizing/supporting food product demos and contributing to portions of any strategic initiatives. Experiments should be designed to incorporate BOH flow – product preparation through to holding and assembly with the result focus on the entire process and equipment.
* Write technical reports outlining testing protocols used and test results
* Development of all training materials and coordination and execution of key training colleges and training programs.
* Assist in the commercialization and localization of ingredients to support Second Set strategic initiatives for Yum Restaurants International (YRI), including the testing of ingredients from Key Global Suppliers.
* Work effectively with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks.

Training (30%)



* Planning, organization and execution of training courses.
* In-market issue resolution such as underdone complaints and training on core initiatives and products.
* Develop and manage Brand Standard support tools for core products: eg. Product Quality Guides, color charts, PSC-TV spots.
* Manage knowledge tool transfer to Business Units for Oven Innovation and Alternative Protein layers





Working Relationships:



* Business Units’ R&D/QA and purchasing functions
* Global core suppliers including vendor management of key suppliers
* Field and Dallas Restaurant Support Center Operations
* Multiple YRI departments including purchasing, operations and marketing.




Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:



BS in Food Science or related field with 2 – 3 years experience required.
