Certified Coding Specialist-0920632

Description

Properly code all in-patient or out-patient services utilizing the ICD-9-CM and CPT coding concepts. Adhere to the rules of Coding Clinic, official CPT guidelines and other official parties such as AHA, AHIMA, CMS, NCHS. Must be skilled in selection and sequencing of the diagnoses and procedures to optimize reimbursement.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/SKILLS PREFERRED:
Proficient background in computers with good working knowledge of HBOC and 3M encoder.
Excellent communication skills.


EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:
RHIA, RHIT or CCS. Good working knowledge of computers and encoder. Good communication skills.


EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
3 years coding experience in an acute care facility.
HBOC and 3M encoder skills.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1 year coding experience in an acute care facility.
Basic computer knowledge.
