SENIOR PROGRAM ESTIMATOR

Primary Job Responsibilities



Great opportunity to manage cost for global program. This is an extraordinary senior level position for a cost/estimating professional. The senior estimator we select will monitor a cost model for global projects and work closely with all stakeholders regarding program cost updates. This key position will develop a team of estimators directing his/her resources on organizational goals and company policy. Receives objective-oriented assignments. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization�s objectives and schedules. Establishes operating policies that affect subordinate units. Recommends modifications to organizational policies. May manage a staff function of the company. Responsible for all projects assigned to unit. Acts as unit advisor. Develops and administers budgets, schedules and performance standards. Establishes and administers centralized functional projects. Influences the development of objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions would result in critical delays to assigned projects resulting in substantial resource costs, and may jeopardize future business activity. Frequent contacts with equivalent level managers concerning projects, operational decisions or scheduling requirements. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives. Estimates labor and material costs of production and engineering in response to Request for Proposal data submitted by prospective customers. Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data: Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors: Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor: Prepares and maintains historical cost data.: Creates cost models for estimating elements: Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.

Training and Experience



15+ years of construction, engineering and/or architectural design experience required. This candidate must have experience in cost estimating in the semi conductor / micro chip processing market. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a BS in addition to industry experience. Must be able to demonstrate experience with global construction in addition to superior client satisfaction/ relationhip results. The key to success in this position will be experience with parametric/conceptual estimating highlighting the candidates ability to work with the vision of our client globally.
