Sr. Control Systems Engineer

Location Cary, NC, US

Primary Job Responsibilities

Works independently to define project scopes, prepares engineering estimates, and leads a team of I&C engineers and designers on small, medium and large process design projects. Maintains discipline project budgets and schedules. Works directly with clients to coordinate project work. Stays current with industry standards and practices and applies best practice concepts to designs. Conceives innovative ideas for reducing client project costs. Stays current with control system technology and provides clients unbiased consultation on best fit solutions.

Training and Experience

B.S. degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 10 years or more experience in control systems design, instrumentation design and information technology. Experienced with a variety of control system platforms. Experienced in instrument bus systems. Industry experience includes pharmaceutical, biotech, power and general industrial. P.E. preferred.

Other Essential Functions

Develop design drawings and specifications. AutoCAD experience a plus. Willing to travel up to 20 percent of the work year.
