Structural Engineer III

Primary Job Responsibilities



* Intermediate level: uses knowledge of general application of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards to perform engineering and design of less complex structures.
* Works under general supervision; work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy.
* Researches, develops, and designs a variety of structural components, systems, and facilties for commercial and industrial purposes.
* Evaluates the desired goal of the system and develops, designs, or selects the required structural systems, components, products, etc to achieve the goal:
* Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of structural systems for industrial and commercial applications: Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects:
* Directs activities to ensure that detailing and construction conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements:
* Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer:
* Performs site inspection visits to collect data and or verify construction
* Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering task.


Training and Experience



* 4+ years of experience required
* BS or MS in engineering discipline
* EIT certificate required
* LEED AP preferred.
* CADD proficient, AutoCAD and or Microstation
* BIM capabilties preferred



Other Essential Functions

Travel will be required.
