Primary Job Responsibilities



* Lead responsibility for technical direction of a group of engineers or functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced engineering concepts, techniques, and standards.
* Develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.
* Researches, develops, and designs a variety of structural components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes.
* Evaluates the desired goal of the system and develops, designs, or selects the required structural systems, components, products, etc, to achieve the goal
* Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of structural systems for industrial and commercial applications:
* Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects:
* Performs site inpections and visits to collect data and/or verify construction.
* Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer:
* Directs and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations:
* Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering task.


Training and Experience



* 12+ years of experience required
* Industrial experience (power, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical) preferred
* BS or MS in engineering discipline
* PE registration required
* LEED AP preferred
* CADD capable, AutoCAD or Microstation
* BIM capabilites preferred


Other Essential Functions

Travel will be required.
