Control Systems Engineer V

Primary Job Responsibilities



This position is for a Lead Control Systems Engineer with extensive food industry experience. Candidate will be experienced in food production and packaging. Plant experience is a must. Familiarity with the design of a variety of control systems and automation platforms from kitchen to packaging line is preferred.

Lead responsibilities include technical direction of a group of engineers and functioning as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced engineering concepts, techniques, and standards in the food industry. The Lead participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects. Includes directing activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements. A major component of the position is to maintain effective communication with project team members and with the customer.

Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills are a must as this role will require the individual to support new development projects, gather customer requirements, perform analytical programming and provide excellent documentation

Travel to client site for meetings and project start-ups is required.

Training and Experience



10-15 years of experience required, BS or MS in an engineering discipline, PE registration highly desirable

Specifically:

2 to 10 years PLC Programming experience

2 to 10 years HMI programming experience

Good written and verbal communication skills
