Mechanical Engineer

Primary Job Responsibilities



* Functions under the guidance of a Project Manager. Performs a variety of routine assignments involved in either the coordination of various engineering, construction, purchasing, scheduling and start up aspects of a project, or the technical excellence of the engineering portion of a project across all disciplines. This position has no responsibilities for the direction of others.
* This individual typically performs in a support role with discretionary authority for determining alternatives, making specifications, and carrying out assignments as directed by a Project manager.
* Must be able to create bill of material, scope of work, work with contractors, and specify equipment, checkout and startup of systems.
* Strong emphasis on infrastructure work such as HVAC, roofing, and wastewater.
* Position is based at the Kellogg Co. Omaha site.









Training and Experience



A minimum of 5-years mechanical engineering experience including a BS degree in a engineering discipline from an accredited college or university's engineering program.

Prefer working knowledge of "food processing equipment" for cereal, convenience foods, or frozen foods is highly desirable.
