Description

The Perioperative Nurse is a Registered Nurse who will provide preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative nursing care of the surgical patient. The nurse is also responsible for coordinating all activity in the room, assisting the surgeon during surgical procedure, collecting surgical supplies and sets by specific procedure, assisting with patient transfer/transport, patient care needs and equipment retrieval.

Qualifications

Education:

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Certifications / Licenses:

*
Current RN licensure in the State of Florida
Current BLS or within first week of orientation
Current ACLS or within first week of orientation

Experience:

*
Minimum one year experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in the area of perioperative nursing
Must have ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing to solve problems and make decisions
