Description

Assists physical therapist or physical therapist assistant in administering medically-prescribed therapy treatments as permitted by Florida Law. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly manner, replenishes supplies as needed, and provides limited clerical assistance in the absence of the Department Secretary.

Qualifications

Education:

* Minimum of high school diploma or its equivalent


Job Knowledge & Skills:

* Demonstrates basic understanding of patient transfers, transport and a patient care environment.
* Demonstrates basic understanding of therapy treatment principles.
* Requires basic understanding of the related behaviors, needs and comfort appropriate to age (including infant, child, adolescent, aging adult) and diagnosis of patient served in order to support the provision of an individualized interdisciplinary plan of care.
* Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.
