Job Function - Correct application operational problems and provide permenant resolutions
- Participate in troubleshooting sessions which may involve contact with external customers and/or technical teams
- Support a 24x7 production environment (Rotating oncall duty required)
- Identify and research problems to better utilize resources (Defect Developers/DBA/Network/Web teams)
- Provide diagnoses in common error situtations
- Design workarounds to quickly resolve issues while working to develop long term solutions
- Responsible for documenting issues
- Idendependly prioritize workload
- Update production environmental documentation (Network / SSL expirations)
- Participate in team and cross functional project as neccessary
- Facialitate change control board meetings
- Assist with the collection of capacity planning data collection
- Facialtate maintenance window conference calls (Bridge Talker Duty / Checklist management)
- Create initial root cause analysis (RCA) documents for customer outages and major incidents
- Create test cases as required when resolving a code defect
Skills/Experience - Proficient with Java/JSEE, Hibernate, Junit
- Familarity with Eclipse development environment.
- Familarity with Networking concepts
- Familarity with WebService concepts
- Familarity with Oracle
- Familarity with Weblogic
- SSL (including mutal auth)
- Knowledge of banking/financial environments (PCI compliant environments)
- SQL
- Microsoft Office (word, excel, project, publisher)
