Job Function Responsibilities
- Operating system porting
- Operating system bring-up and testing on mobile platforms using QUALCOMM's next generation chips
- Processor and system level power management and performance optimization for mobile platform
- System performance optimization such as CPU, BUS and Interrupt Profiling
Skills/Experience Key Skills
- 3 to 10 years embedded software development experience required
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong experience in C/C++ programming (assembly language a plus)
- Strong software debugging skills on embedded real time operating systems
- Experience porting operating systems targeted at mobile devices including Windows Mobile, Windows CE, Linux, and other mobile operating systems
Responsibilities Additional Skills
- Real time embedded systems experience
- Experience with portable hand-held devices including netbooks, smartphones, mobile computing devices and gaming
- Familiarity with ARM architecture and instruction sets, microprocessor architecture
- Familiarity with JTAG-debuggers, emulators, test equipment such as Oscilloscope/Logic Analyzers, test-mobiles & logging tools
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a multi-discipline, team environment
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering with one to five years of experience required. Master's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering a big plus.
