The director of Sales will be responsible for marketing the Swagg solution to the retail marketplace. The Director of Sales will report to the Vice President of Retail and Merchant Services and will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the m-Commerce business plan for Retail and Merchant Service opportunities. Accounts will be assigned within a specific geographic region.
This position will require establishing key business relationships, developing strong retail partnerships, working with merchant channel partners and have the ability to communicate a vision of mobile commerce services and capable of influencing others.
In this position, you will assist in the development of a merchant services business plan (product requirements definition), assist in execution and modification of that plan, and provide ad hoc input. The Director of Sales / Account Executive will lead a virtual account team including legal, technical, financial, engineering and product management specialists.
You will also assist in contract negotiations and the establishment of favorable business terms with Merchant Accounts.
Skills/Experience 8-10+ years of selling experience to Fortune 500 Accounts.
Extensive sales experience, including, C-Level selling, in order to acquire strategic accounts and subsequently develop accounts in the execution of Firethorn's a merchant services strategy.
The Account Manager / Director of Sales will have a proven track record of producing results within assigned Merchant. Experience should include selling to Business owners as well as IT executives.
Experience with loyalty programs and gift card applications are a plus.
Experience in selling business solutions in a 'new market' within a start-up environment.
Leadership skills to provide direction to the management and professional staff within and outside the organization.
Account development experience including sales forecasting.
Excellent negotiation, communications, and writing skills.
Expertise in the retail industry, internet commerce (ecommerce or mcommerce), the wireless industry, or other aspects of payment, credit card or banking industries.
Responsibilities
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related required. Master's degree in Business Administration preferred. Formal Strategic Selling Training required.
