Job Function This position involves testing of sensor related software features and development of test framework within the Sensors organization.

This is a challenging position offering a unique opportunity to work on the succesful commercialization of leading edge sensor and GPS technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Skills/Experience - A minimum of 5 years of work experience, testing embedded software and APIs.
- Good understanding of test methodology and test processes, including requirements collection, test plan development, execution and error tracking.
- Experience in developing test automation with strong programming skills (in Perl and C).
- Excellent Perl and C programming skills and desire to drive test automation.
- Detail oriented, thorough and analytical approach required with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks is crucial.
- Good understanding of test methodology and test processes, including requirements collection, test plan development, execution and error tracking.
- Hands-on debugging skills in the lab using standard lab equipment (scopes, multimeters, voltage sources, sensor specific measurement equipment) to debug the system.
- Experience in developing test automation with good programming skills (in Perl or C).

- Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks is crucial.

Additional skills:

- Hands-on debugging skills in the lab using standard lab equipment (scopes, multimeters, voltage sources, sensor specific measurement equipment) to debug issues preferred.
- Previous exposure to Sensors (inertial, pressure, magnetic, ambient light, proximity) and GNSS testing preferred.
- Understanding of different cellular systems (1x, DO, GSM, WCDMA) and previous experience with cellular simulation systems advantage.
Responsibilities - Testing of Sensor SW releases to ensure robust commercial quality SW releases.
- Test development, execution, troubleshooting and problem resolution on embedded Brew / WindowsMobile / Linux / Standalone CoreBSP platforms.
- Focus is in verifying sensor related APIs at native or 3rd party OS level (Brew, WindowsMobile, Linux/Android).
- Verify the succesfull interaction and concurrency with other chipset features.
- Develope test automation in Perl to enable automatic overnight test cycles and to improve the test coverage in the regression testing.
- Develop scripts and other SW test tools for the team's use.
- Profile and optimize CPU usage, performance and power consumption for the various sensors and sensor related features.
- Interact in a team environment with various SW, system, test and test framework teams.
Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
