Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for an experienced Production Supervisor at its Wilkes-Barre, PA facility.

This position directly supervises 20+ unionized hourly employees at the Wilkes-Barre manufacturing facility and is responsible for meeting all safety expectations, production schedules and budgets, and product quality requirements. The Production Supervisor interacts with all departments and levels of the organization to optimize processes and products. Preferred candidates will be knowledgeable in blueprint reading, metal fabrication, and welding techniques. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to instruct hourly employees on manufacturing processes, motivate performance, lead and implement continuous improvement activities, and work with teams throughout the organization. Must be flexible to work extended hours, day and night shifts, and occasional weekends.

Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED
- 7+ years of supervisory experience, union environment a plus
- Manufacturing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills (SAP a plus)
- Ability to work well in a team, project positive attitude, and desire to learn

Preferred:
- Associates degree in engineering or metals technology
- Welding/metals fabrication experience
- Lean manufacturing
- Continuous Improvement
