Position Description
AIG’s Corporate Tax department is seeking a Manager of Transfer Pricing to assist in a variety of global transfer pricing initiatives. This position will be involved in transfer pricing study, identifying planning opportunities and risk management solutions, developing and implementing best practice and global policy.
Functional Responsibilities Include:
• Coordinate and implement Transfer Pricing polices across the enterprise
• Heavy interaction with the finance and tax leaders across all AIG on transfer pricing related issues and projects
• Work closely with internal subject matter experts and external advisors in performing transfer pricing review, economic analysis and determining a sustainable approach (the best method) for effecting global transfer pricing policy
• Prepare US transfer pricing documentation and the Global Core Documentation that can benefit the preparation of local documentation
• Work with the regional and country tax teams on global project coordination.
• Assess opportunities and risks, perform FIN 48 analysis
• Day to day project management
• Support Tax Controversy group during exams
Suggested Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with an advanced degree in economics or tax.
• Minimum 5 years of transfer pricing experience with concentration in financial services, hands-on involvement in any of the following areas is a plus: Global cost allocation, Reinsurance, Asset management, intra-group finance or guarantee.
• Good working knowledge of US Tax Accounting and Compliance is preferred but not required
• Strong managerial and organizational skills, with project management experience and ready to assist or take on global project responsibility.
• Strong verbal communication including presentation skills, business writing skills, Interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate and influence is essential
• Excellent analytical skills and resourceful self-starter.
• Available for international travel up to 40% of the time
