Position Description
Completes routine processing to individual payments for life insurance and traditional products. Includes research, decision making, daily balancing, and communication as needed with internal and external customers. Must handle large sums of customer's money with a high level of accuracy. Must be coginizant of business rules and procedures for multiple profit centers, products, and systems and apply those rules accordingly.

Analyzes premium payments and completes necessary transactions to apply incoming payments to premiums, loan or deposit accounts. Determines appropriate disposition of monies based on documented procedures and information found during researc. Determines disposition of overages, shortages and disposition of unidentified money using multiple admin systems. Must be able to interpret policyowner instructions which can be cryptic and undefined. Must be able to research accurately and thoroughly.

Performs various accounting transactions in a variety of main frame systems based on documented rules and procedures including transfers of funds from one company to another or one company ledger account to another, creating/clearing suspense items, processing refunds or applying/reversing premiums

Performs various policy maintenance transactions including mode changes, premium changes, transfers or referrals to other areas of the organization. May require responding to customer with written or verbal communications using the telephone, letters, typed forms, or email.

Responsible for daily report processing. Research and maintenance needed to handle error notifications, specifically those that alert to money that has rejected and is in a suspense account that should be cleared.

Responsibility to document any communication (verbal or written) received by the Company expressing a grievance (complaint), and promptly report this information to the Compliance Coordinator to ensure a fair and expeditious resolution.

Position Requirements
2 yr degree or equivalent plus 1 years business experience or HS diploma and 3 years business experience. Life insurance experience preferred.
