Position Description
SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners Inc. (SAHP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SunAmerica Financial Group, is one of the industry’s leading investors in guaranteed affordable housing, with over $7 billion of equity raised. To date, SunAmerica has acquired in excess of 1,300 low income housing tax credit (LIHTC) multifamily properties with over 180,000 rental units located in 48 states. These rental units represent total development costs of approximately $16 billion and tax credits in excess of $8.1 billion. We currently have a direct-hire opportunity in our Century City office for an underwriting and due diligence analyst within our Debt Advisory Group. The Debt Advisory Group manages both SAHP-originated mortgage debt as well as all mortgage debt associated with SAHP’s LIHTC investments.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the due diligence of multifamily bond and loan sales, refinancings, and securitizations; as well as maintaining hard and electronic files for all transactions of the Debt Advisory Group; and, obtaining lender consents for changes in multifamily property ownership. Position is located in our Century City office.

What You Will Be Doing:
1.Creating, collecting, analyzing, organizing, and disseminating loan files and lender submission packages for the Debt Advisory Group’s individual loan sales, loan refinances, and structured securitizations.
2.Resolving questions and queries from lenders and lawyers about construction, title, environmental, insurance, operational, and regulatory documentation. Identifying appropriate parties from whom to gather answers to underwriting questions.
3.Obtaining consents, as needed, from various lenders related to changes in the borrowers’ ownership structure.
4.Manage the files, both in hard copy and electronically, of all SAHP-owned or guaranteed debt and SAHP-sponsored debt securitizations.

Position Requirements
1.Minimum five years real estate underwriting, loan closing, loan servicing, due diligence, or financial analysis experience.
2.Bachelor’s degree.
3.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
4.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Database experience is a plus.
5.Strong organization skills; self-directed and detail-oriented.
