Position Description
Alico seeks a Tax Technology Director to lead its Tax Technology Program(s). The Director of Tax Technology will serve as the primary liaison between the Tax Department and the Financial Systems group to ensure that the Tax Department has the appropriate data, software, hardware, and supporting processes/controls. The Director of Tax Technology will be responsible for creating a new Tax Technology Program that is intended to produce efficiencies across the entire Alico Tax Department, including Federal, International, and Stage & Local direct taxes, as well as US and International indirect taxes (e.g., sales/use, property, and value-added taxes).

• Working with Tax Department and external stakeholders to develop and prioritize tax technology initiatives; writing and reviewing supporting business cases.
• Developing tax technology requirements based upon feedback generated from the Tax Department; managing the implementation of tax technology initiatives.
• Leading the Tax Department evaluation of third party software solutions and hardware; facilitating the “request for proposal” process; and negotiating any related agreements as applicable
• Ensuring that tax technology-related software, hardware, and supporting process/controls are continually maintained and optimized.

This position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. Relocation will be considered on a case by case basis.

Position Requirements
This position requires extensive interaction with many business groups, so potential candidates must be able to work well with cross functional teams

• More than 10 years of general corporate tax experience and/or tax technology experience
• The ideal candidate would have meaningful experience implementing tax provision, tax return preparation, and data collection and consolidation software solutions
• Experience with Tax Stream Provision software and/or corptax software is preferred
• Familiarity with Oracle HFM, (Hyperion Financial Manager), would be helpful
• Very strong project management, interpersonal, and communication skills are required
• BA/BS required, MBA, MS in Taxation, MIS (or similar) preferred.
