Position Description

We are seeking a highly accomplished individual to lead major Finance Actuarial Development Programs in our Wilmington, DE location.

Position Requirements
Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the development of valuation systems, projection systems and processes to produce timely, accurate and useful actuarial analysis supporting Alico’s financial statements (all accounting framework);
• Liaise with Alico actuaries in all entities to insure coordination of valuation, projection and process goals;
• Direct the development of models to support statutory actuarial opinions, budget projections (stat, GAAP, capital), economic capital;
• Direct the development of business processes as it relates to valuation systems to close the books with the required quality and speed; and
• Hire, develop and recruit people to support the mission requirements.


Qualifications Include:

• 15+ years of experience in a related occupation;
• 7+ years of experience building and managing business operations with P&L responsibilities in emerging and mature markets; markets should include Asia, Central, Eastern, and Western Europe.
• Experience with multiple accounting frameworks including specifically US GAAP and Solvency II;
• Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions: assessing, influencing and directing business strategies across a global platform;
• Experience managing large, multinational projects focused on actuarial system development from a business perspective;
• Experience in developing new products and entering new markets globally with a diverse cultural mix.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics or related;
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent, a plus
