Vice President - Investments

We are currently interviewing for a Vice President - Investments in our Structured Privates Department.

Position Overview
The main purpose of this position is to analyze new investment opportunities for the various AIG families of companies and to manage a pool of credits within the existing Structured Privates Investment Portfolio.

This position is responsible for:
1. Reviewing new opportunities in the corporate structured bond market or non-public ABS market for investment by our AIG companies
2. Preparing and review credit updates on the existing portfolio
3. Pricing the assigned credits on a monthly basis

In the first six month to one year the position in this role will be expected to:

o Understand the AMG credit process and properly analyze new investment opportunities and present them to credit committee and an investment committee with little support from the Managing Director.

o Properly manage assigned portfolio credits through on-going monitoring and credit reviews.

o Develop active knowledge of the policies and procedures for the department.

o Be proficient with the pricing of the assigned credits within the Structured Privates portfolio.

The best person in this role works independently with little supervision. Possess strong credit and analytical skills to evaluate unique structures or asset types, and has a good working knowledge of the corporate bond markets including how securities are priced, rated.

Position Requirements
MBA degree or CFA designation is preferred.
Proven experience in the dept capital markets with structured debt experience
Excellent credit analysis skills
Experience leading new debt transactions and managing a portfolio of fixed income investments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
